a time for presence

Being here, slowing down, savoring, seeing, loving, breathing and being present. These are some of the things I am focusing on this month. Not only because the Holiday Season can often get the best of us (and not always in a good way) but because we're nearing the end of the year. I don't want the next few weeks to pass without taking a little extra time to reflect on the year that is nearly behind us now, in appreciation and gratitude.

Sometimes I forget where I've come from and how much transpires in a year (the time seems to pass so quickly) and in order for me to set my sights to 2012 I want to be in the right head and heart space.

Moving forward is part of the process for sure but being still and present in this moment, right now is exactly what makes moving forward more deliberate and meaningful.

Tell me what you see as you look back at the last year. And tell me what you see when you look ahead. Isn't it awesome that when you embrace the gift of presence, you can see both the past and the future? I love that.

SPECTACULAR shot. Just when I thought I'd seen it all....this is a totally new shot for me! The lights shining on the ornament? WOW.

I just added your blog to my feed a couple days ago, and I'm enjoying it immensely!

thanks for your comments Karli. the shot on the right is actually the reflection of tree lights in a round mirror on the wall...but you're right. it does look like an ornament. : )

Looking back this year I've realized I haven't done a single scrapbook page. But more of the behind the scenes learning and how to process putting everything together. Going forward though, I found out I'm going to be a grandma and purchased your Waiting for Baby book for my daughter for Christmas. I have to say I am in love with that book. I can't wait for her to see it. She's loves memory keeping and this is her first baby. It's also my frist grand child. I am looking forward to 2012 and what it will bring.

I am trying REALLY hard to be present. These last two years have been REALLY hard, but I have a good feeling about 2012.

xoxo.
